Concept

Concept

The program analyzes the mechanisms for creating a stable and secure environment in rural areas confronting terrorist or criminal threats in contexts of conflict or post-conflict situations. The program seeks not only to analyze the armed groups that threaten state institutions, private enterprise and civilian population, but also seeks to understand the mechanisms to establish a safe, permanent and irreversible environment, contributing to the process of restitution of rural property and return of displaced people. As a result, the DP program studies the building capacity of the rural police, the role of the Armed Forces in the environment, the characteristics of the activity of intelligence, civic action programs and the efforts to prevent the recruitment of illegal organizations.
